Read & Review vocab every night:)
School closure from 3/16 - 4/13
Please follow Superintendent's updates as they become available and posted on the WVCSD website (link above) - important information is shared to keep everyone informed as new details evolve. Information concerning continued meal service and obtaining any needed items, is also provided in the update. The Delta 7 will do our best to provide review lessons and enrichment opportunities to keep students engaged and actively learning. Dr. Leach stated - "As a general rule, these activities do not represent the same level of instruction that occurs in our schools. However, they will help to keep our students intellectually active while they are at home. At the forefront of this planning is the awareness of the wide variation in student learning styles, home support, and internet access. With these factors in mind, the faculty will review content previously taught and demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to student needs. Our teachers will aim to make at-home learning opportunities meaningful. And they will not assign tests or mandated, graded work used to calculate student report card grades during this recess period. Any new assignments will be used to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of instructional activities." The Delta 7 team will use Google Classroom and our team Weebly site to communicate lessons, assignments, and other materials or resources during this closure. Create a daily schedule with your child to factor in some academic time, play time (inside & outside for some fresh air), encourage chores or a family project, have your child read a new book, create letters and/or pictures for local nursing homes - just a few suggestions. Stay safe & healthy by practicing social distancing. |
**Continue to support your child with their school responsibilities to help them become independent learners:)
